Abbeyfield Taunton is different. As a 'not for profit' society our sole purpose is the wellbeing of all of our residents. It really does feel like being part of a family.
We offer independent living in a supported environment which provides our residents with the privacy of their own affordable, high quality accommodation combined with the companionship of other residents.
Northfield Court in the centre of Taunton contains 11 delightful spacious flats. A warm and spacious modern building welcomes you to Abbeyfield and your home. Downstairs there is a large lounge-diner that is used for residents to sit and chat and for them to come together at meal times.
Our most recent addition of a cosy, bright conservatory is a firm favourite with our residents who enjoy spending time in there reading, having a cup of tea and looking out on to our well-maintained delightful garden.
Supported Environment
All our flats come with a fitted bathroom with accessible showers, a kitchen with plenty of cupboard and worktop space along with a built-in fridge. Each flat has a good size lounge area that joins the kitchen, and the bedrooms are bright and airy and have plenty of space for clothes and accessories. All are decorated and kept to a high standard that we know our residents appreciate.
All residents have shared use of the lounge, dining room, conservatory, garden and have access to a garage for storing a mobility scooter if the need arises.

Included in our monthly rental charge are all provisions from delicious home cooked meals at lunch, to tea and coffee for your own individual flat. Bills including Council tax, gas, electricity, water are also included which means residents do not have the hassle of bills.
Our lovely team of staff are on hand to support and assist you as well our domestic team being on hand to help with laundry and cleaning to make it easier for you.
Our residents can feel safe and secure with a door-fob entry system and each resident has access to a 24/7 emergency piper alarm service for them to use if they get into difficulty and need further assistance.
